Hai H. Nguyen
DDS, MS, PA
I am a periodontist with over 20 years of experience focused on advanced periodontics and dental implant therapy. Over the years, I have helped patients restore function, health, and confidence through surgical implant placement, regenerative treatments, and comprehensive periodontal care.
My approach is built on precision and evidence-based methods, but also on listening closely to each patient’s needs and goals. I believe the best outcomes happen when advanced clinical expertise is paired with trust and clear communication. Whether a patient requires complex treatment or long-term maintenance, my goal is to deliver reliable solutions that improve oral health and overall quality of life.
Dental Career
Dr. Hai has been practicing periodontics since 1997, providing specialized care in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease as well as dental implant procedures. He currently owns and leads his periodontal practice, working alongside a team that includes a general dentist and periodontists. With decades of clinical experience, Dr. Hai is now transitioning toward retirement from active practice.

Education & Advanced Training
Dr. Nguyen earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. He then completed his Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Periodontics at the UT Health Houston School of Dentistry, where he received advanced residency training in implant surgery, hard and soft tissue regeneration, and IV sedation.
Licensure & Certifications
Dr. Nguyen is licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and holds a Level 3 Moderate Sedation Permit (Parenteral/Enteral).
He is a certified clinician in the LANAP Protocol and the Pinhole Surgical Technique, and is a certified Laser Safety Officer. He also maintains advanced certification in BLS and ACLS to ensure the highest standards of patient safety.
